In a 3-to-4 page essay, you will identify and evaluate a minimum of two (2) sources to write a literature review. This literature review will introduce your topic and focused research questions, summarize and analyze each of your two sources, and reflect on your research process and findings.
You will accomplish the following objectives:
Locate, retrieve, and evaluate data from sources needed for effective research writing
Compose and revise research-based documents for diverse audiences and purposes
This project involves the following steps:
Choose a topic, develop research questions, and evaluate at least two sources (one database and one internet).
Complete pre-writing (outline or related planner).
Write a 3-to-4 page APA-formatted literature review that reinforces the importance and feasibility of the selected topic.
Review the Unit 1 Literature Review Rubric (150 points) so that you know how your work will be evaluated.
Submit your Literature Review to D2L.
Introduction (1-2 paragraphs)
Explain the topic and the scope of research that you have gathered at this point.
Research Question Analysis (1 paragraph)
Explain the purpose of your literature review. Include your three strongest research questions you came up with to guide your research process along with your justification for using them.
Body (5 paragraphs)
Summary & Analysis of each source (2 paragraphs per source including at least 2 citations each)
Summary & Analysis of Source 1: Summarize your 1st source in a paragraph. Then explain the source’s relevance to your topic and research questions along with strengths and/or weaknesses of this source. Include at least two citations from this source.
Summary & Analysis of Source 2: Summarize your 2nd source in a paragraph. Then explain the source’s relevance to your topic and research questions along with strengths and/or weaknesses of this source. Include at least two citations from this source.
Reflection (1 paragraph)
What did you learn about your topic during this process? What patterns or themes did your sources reveal? What gaps were found in the research or what answers are left to investigate about your topic? What changes would you make to your research methods/process in the future?
Conclusion (1 paragraph)
Conclude the paper by explaining what you could do with this research topic and the significance of the research.
Length of essay: 3 – 4 pages of content (excluding the required Title page & Reference page)

APA Format: Title page, Headings, Citations, Reference Page
